Bad Wolf Receives 9 Nominations at 2021 BAFTA Cymru Awards

Bad Wolf has received a combined 9 nominations at the 2021 BAFTA Cymru Awards, making it the most-nominated indie at this year’s awards.

The awards, celebrating the very best in film and television in Wales, will be marking its 30th anniversary this year.

The 9 nominations are spread across 3 of Bad Wolf’s Welsh productions: BBC One and HBO’s His Dark Materials, HBO’s Industry and Sky Original A Discovery of Witches.

His Dark Materials leads the Bad Wolf pack, with 5 nominations in TV Drama, Sound, Make Up & Hair (Jacqueline Fowler), Editing (Sara Jones), and Costume Design (Caroline McCall). This year marks the 2nd consecutive BAFTA Cymru nomination for Caroline McCall, who was nominated last year for her work on season 1 of His Dark Materials.

Finance drama Industry was nominated for both TV Drama, and Photography & Lighting (Milos Moore).

A Discovery of Witches also received 2 nominations in Costume Design (Sarah Arthur) and Production Design (James North). This is James’ 2nd time nominated, following his nomination for Production Design on season 1 in 2019.

This year’s BAFTA Cymru awards will be presented across 22 craft, performance and production categories in film and television, and will be streamed across BAFTA’s social channels at 7pm on Sunday 24 October.
