When a US diplomatic courier is found dead at Heathrow Airport, Detective Hana Li (Jing Lusi) is called in to investigate.

In the second series of Red Eye, Detective Li’s investigation into the murder of a diplomatic courier leads her to the US Embassy in London. When staff and guests at an event hosted by the new American Ambassador start being murdered, Hana and Agent Clay Brody (Martin Compston) race against time to find the killer and undercover a conspiracy with implications on both sides of the Atlantic. Simultaneously, MI5 receive a threat claiming a bomb has been planted on the private jet carrying Head of MI5 Madeline Delaney (Lesley Sharp), as she returns to London from Washington D.C…

Julie Gardner executive produced the series alongside Lachlan MacKinnon. Kieron Hawkes (Power Book IV, Fortitude) returned as lead director, with Camilla Strøm Henriksen (Grace, The Suspect) directing later episodes and Chris May (Litvinenko, Doctor Who) producing. The project has been developed and overseen by Bad Wolf’s Managing Director, Dan McCulloch, and Sony Pictures Television were responsible for international distribution.
