Training

Working in Film & TV doesn’t just involve being in front of the camera as an actor or working as a director or producer. Bad Wolf’s ambition to foster a global production hub in Wales created Screen Alliance Wales, based at Wolf Studios Wales, to educate, promote and train production crews and build infrastructure from primary school children to graduates from the universities and colleges in the area.

Screen Alliance Wales opens the doors of the studios and provides an insight into the variety of careers in the industry from production design to construction and hair and makeup to camera work.

From providing paid trainee positions for graduates, to a classroom in the studio for children from nine upwards to get real-life experience on a film set, Screen Alliance Wales sows the seeds for the creatives of the future.

Screen Alliance Wales is a stand-alone philanthropic company. It has been created by Bad Wolf as the company’s founders recognise that Wales needs an agency to educate, train and promote TV crews and build a lasting production infrastructure throughout Wales.  The Bad Wolf board has agreed the company and its subsidiaries will make a financial commitment to Screen Alliance Wales for a period of two years.  This commitment will be a mixture of in kind and cash investments.  Bad Wolf believes that through this commitment, Welsh screen talent and crew will be trained and given the skills and inspiration to make high end drama.

Nid yw gweithio mewn Ffilm a Theledu yn golygu bod o flaen y camera fel actor neu weithio fel cyfarwyddwr neu gynhyrchydd yn unig. Arweiniodd uchelgais Bad Wolf i feithrin canolfan gynhyrchu byd-eang yng Nghymru at greu Screen Alliance Wales, sydd â’i ganolfan yn Stiwdio Blaidd Cymru. Nôd Screen Alliance Wales yw addysgu, hyrwyddo a hyfforddi criwiau cynhyrchu ac adeiladu rhwydwaith sy’n cynnwys plant o oedran ysgol gynradd yr holl ford i fyny at raddedigion o brifysgolion a cholegau lleol.

Mae Screen Alliance Wales yn agor drysau’r stiwdios ac yn cynnig cipolwg i bobl o’r amrywiaeth o yrfaoedd sydd ar gael yn y diwydiant – o gynllunio cynhyrchu i adeiladu, ac o wallt a cholur i waith camera.

O ddarparu hyfforddiaethau â thâl ar gyfer graddedigion i ddarparu ystafell ddosbarth yn y stiwdio i blant naw oed a hŷn er mwyn gallu cynnig gwir brofiad o set ffilm, mae Screen Alliance Wales yn hau’r hadau ar gyfer pobl creadigol y dyfodol.

Mae Screen Alliance Wales yn gwmni dyngarol unigol. Fe’i crëwyd gan Bad Wolf gan fod sylfaenwyr y cwmni yn cydnabod bod Cymru angen asiantaeth i addysgu, hyfforddi a hyrwyddo criwiau teledu ac adeiladu seilwaith gynhyrchu barhaol ledled Cymru. Mae bwrdd Bad Wolf wedi cytuno y bydd y cwmni a’i is-gwmnïau yn gwneud ymrwymiad ariannol i Screen Alliance Wales am gyfnod o ddwy flynedd. Bydd yr ymrwymiad hwn yn gymysgedd o fuddsoddiadau ymarferol ac arian parod. Mae Bad Wolf yn credu, trwy’r ymrwymiad hwn, y bydd talent a chriwiau teledu Cymru yn derbyn hyfforddiant ac yn magu’r sgiliau a’r ysbrydoliaeth angenrheidiol i gynhyrchu drama deledu o safon uchel.

Os oes gennych ddiddordeb mewn derbyn hyfforddiant ar un o gynyrchiadau Bad Wolf cysylltwch ag info@screenalliancewales.com.
